How to Elope in Texas
Residency is not a state requirement for eloping in Texas and neither are blood tests, but the bride and groom must apply in person for a license at a Texas County Clerk's Office, be 18 years or older, show photo ID and proof of age, and provide social security numbers.
At the same time, the couple can obtain, complete, sign, and have notarized the required statement regarding child support. The license costs $41 (cash only), is good for 31 days, is valid in only in Texas, and there is a 72-hour waiting period (unless one applicant is on active military duty). If previously married, proof of death or divorce is not required.
